Dane Skaric ("Coach Danny") comes to the NSSA directly from being a head trainer and coach for the Chicago Wind, where he earned an amazing reputation as a hard-working and dedicated coach.

Thoughout his career, Danny has coached all age groups from U-9 to U-18. During this time his teams won over 20 Division championships and 30 tournaments. His 2004 U-11 boys team was ranked #1 in the nation.

In addition to his coaching duties, Danny worked extensively with the Youth Clinic and U-8 program at the 41 Sports Center (formerly in Highland Park, IL).

Prior to coaching at the Chicago Wind, Danny played professional soccer for the Kansas City Attack. As starting forward he scored over 30 goals.

Born in Belgrade, Yugoslavia in 1967, Danny was selected to join the 1st Division Club Partizan's youth soccer school when he was 11. As a member of the Yugoslavian National team, he traveled to Argentina to play in the first Youth World Cup. Danny continued to play with Partizan until he signed his first professional contract with Men's 1st Division Club Radnicki Belgrade, consistently earning honors as the league's 1st or 2nd leading scorer.

Danny is looking forward to using his knowledge and experience to help teach younger players the game of soccer. His goal is to start training players at a young age and develop then both individually and as part of a team.
